Half Sole Repair

 

 

 

When a shoe has a sole that spans the entire length, toe to heel, there are two repair choices. The first is a half sole, and the second is a full sole.

The half sole repair removes the front portion of the sole and bonds to the original rear piece.

This repair is very cost effective and allows the replacement of worn parts without removing the entire sole.

Rand Repair

 

When a shoe is worn past the sole and through the rand, it must be patched to protect the materials underneath.

First, checking to make sure that there is decent life left in the rands. If the rand does not meet this criteria, it will need to be replaced to prevent the rand from failing before the next resole. If one shoe is worn through, then the other is most likely needing a repair as well.

A rand repair is not a standalone service, it is an add-on to sole repairs.
